The department was organized November 4th, 1926. We are a paid per call department with 25 personnel. We cover a 10 square mile area and average 175 calls per year. Operating out of one station, the department has an ISO rating of four. Included in our jurisdiction is City of Fredericktown, Cobalt Village, Village Creek, Junction City, Catherine Place, along with the area of 72 east to J hwy, Hwy OO north to County Road 220 and Hwy 67 from H Hwy to Priday overpass.
